Exclusive: Florian Munteanu<\/a> (Creed franchise) is set to star opposite Walton Goggins<\/a> and Amber Midthunder<\/a> in Painter<\/a>, the action film marking the feature directorial debut of veteran stunt coordinator and second unit director Garrett Warren<\/a>, which recently landed at 20th Century Studios<\/a> with James Cameron<\/a> among its executive producers.<\/p>\n

No word yet on the role he\u2019ll play. In the film, Midthunder portrays a young woman trained in combat from childhood who uses her skills to rescue her kidnapped father (Goggins), embarking on a perilous mission that tests her abilities to the limit.<\/p>\n

The John Wick<\/a> franchise\u2019s Derek Kolstad<\/a> wrote the script and will produce alongside Drew Simon<\/a> and Sam Speiser<\/a> of FilmNation\u2019s Infrared Pictures<\/a>, as well as Josh Adler<\/a> of Circle M + P<\/a>, with Cameron exec producing on behalf of Lightstorm Entertainment<\/a>. J.R. Young<\/a> is overseeing the project for the studio, with production launching in Serbia this month.<\/p>\n
