Barstool Sports personality Cody \u2018Beef\u2019 Franke<\/strong> has died at age 31.<\/p>\n

\u201cBarstool lost a member of our family this weekend. Just tragic news. You will never find a nicer more genuine person than Beef,\u201d the company shared in a statement to social media<\/a> on Monday, October 27. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to even process it right now. Just another cruel reminder that tomorrow is never promised and to live each day to its fullest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barstool also shared a longer statement, offering more details into the circumstances surrounding Franke\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are beyond devastated to announce that our dear friend and beloved Barstool Sports colleague, Cody \u2018Beef\u2019 Franke, passed away from a sudden medical issue over the weekend,\u201d the statement read, detailing the late social media star\u2019s love of golf.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe selflessly spent much of his life helping others improve and enjoy the game. Watching golf bring people happiness brought him happiness, and that infectious personality was felt by everyone who met him,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cHe was universally known as the nicest guy in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor Rousseau Grigg died in October 2024 at the age of 25 after battling undisclosed medical issues. Her husband, Cameron Grigg, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Franke was the \u201chead golf professional\u201d for the \u201cFore Play\u201d podcast, hosted by Barstool personalities Trent Ryan<\/strong>, Riggs Bozoian<\/strong>, Frankie Borrelli<\/strong> and Dan Rapaport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom his time as a PGA Professional to his time at Barstool Sports, Cody made so many people laugh, he made so many people smile and he simply made so many people better,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cOur heartfelt thoughts are with Cody\u2019s entire family and loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company concluded, writing, \u201cWe\u2019ll be removing our hats for Cody today and everyday. Rest in peace to the classiest man we knew.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cFore Play\u201d podcast shared the statement to their own social media account.<\/p>\n

The PGA Tour official Instagram shared their condolences in a comment as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeef was an incredible member of the golf community,\u201d they wrote. \u201cOur thoughts are with his family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several of the show\u2019s hosts even posted their own tributes on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbsolutely heartbreaking,\u201d Riggs wrote. \u201cBeen hard to process losing one of the nicest guys I\u2019ve ever known. Feeling heavily for Cody\u2019s family today.\u201d<\/p>\n
