The Boys<\/a><\/em>\u2018 fifth and final season may not arrive on Prime Video<\/a> for some time, but Homelander actor Antony Starr<\/a> is already onto his next big project as the actor takes on the role of Andy Warhol<\/a> in the upcoming Jean-Michel Basquiat biopic,\u00a0Samo Lives<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n Starr\u2019s participation in the film was announced later this October, but details around his role remained unshared until new images of the actor in costume alongside star Kelvin Harrison Jr.<\/a>, who will play Basquiat, emerged. Needless to say, Starr is unrecognizable as he transforms into the artist famous for his pop culture influence and paintings of Marilyn Monroe and Campbell\u2019s soup cans.<\/p>\n As fans of\u00a0The Boys<\/em> know, this is quite a leap from his run as the narcissistic supe, Homelander, in Prime Video\u2019s megahit series. Reckoning with his past and future, the artist\u2019s unique vision will be explored in the film. Also among the cast for the film are Danny Ramirez<\/a>, Dane DeHaan<\/a>, Kathryn Newton<\/a>, Thomas Kretschmann<\/a>, Lukas Gage<\/a>, Chase Sui Wonders<\/a>, Lucy Fry<\/a>, Yolonda Ross<\/a>, Priah Ferguson<\/a>, Phillip Johnson Richardson, Michael Angelo Covino<\/a>, and Samiya Allen-Graham, in addition to Harrison Jr. and Starr.<\/p>\n Rounding out the cast is Jeffrey Wright<\/a>, who starred as the artist in Julian Schnabel<\/a>\u2018s 1996 film Basquiat<\/em><\/a>. As Deadline reports,\u00a0Samo Lives<\/em> is produced by Onah, John Baker, Rob Feng, and Eric Ro, as well as Macro Film Studios\u2019 James Lopez and Charles D. King. Executive producers are Harrison Jr., Charles Miller, and Ossetra Films\u2019 Sterling Brim<\/a> and DC Wade. The biopic is being produced and financed by Fifth Season and Macro Film Studios.<\/p>\n Additionally, filming has already wrapped on the project. In other words, you could see Starr play Warhol before Homelander\u2019s fifth season farewell on\u00a0The Boys<\/em>, as a premiere date for that show\u2019s upcoming chapter remains unknown.
