\n\tThe decade-long wait for Hilary Duff<\/a>\u2018s return to the music scene <\/a>will come to an end sooner than fans think, the actress teased in a recent interview with Variety<\/a><\/em>. \u201cWe\u2019re getting something really soon,\u201d she said. \u201c[My fans] are going to hear something so soon, like in the blink of an eye.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuff mentioned that she has been in the studio working with her husband Matthew Koma, a singer-songwriter who worked on her most recent album, 2015\u2019s Breathe In. Breathe Out<\/em>, as well as hits with Zedd, Carly Rae Jepsen, Pentatonix, and more. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI always knew I was going to return to music,\u201d Duff said. \u201cI needed to feel safe and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100 percent ready. Honestly, I needed to have 10 years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say. This album feels like the inner workings of my brain and I really am so excited to connect with people again on that level, that very forward-facing level.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn September, Duff inked a recording contract with Atlantic Records. Following the announcement, searches for Hilary Duff on Spotify increased<\/a> by 400 percent and U.S. streams of her catalog jumped nearly 80 percent, while first-time listeners rose by 75 percent. <\/p>\n

\n\tDuff will also star in a new docuseries directed by Sam Wrench, who recently worked on Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour<\/em>, A Nonsense Christmas<\/em> with Sabrina Carpenter, and Laufey\u2019s A Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl<\/em>.<\/p>\n
