Megan Fox<\/a> is getting candid about life as a teen star.<\/p>\n

The “Jennifer\u2019s Body” star reflected on the early years of her career \u2014 which began when she was 15 in “Holiday in the Sun” \u2014 and the negative aspects that came with reaching a new level of fame in the mid-to-late aughts.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, I don’t know that I would give myself advice,\u201d Fox revealed during the “Jennifer\u2019s Body” Q&A event at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles Oct. 25, per People<\/a>. \u201cI think where I was at that point in my life, so lost, so full of that rage that I had towards how I had been treated in the industry. And how I was dealing with fame.\u201d<\/p>\n

The mom of four \u2014 she shares Noah, 13, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 9, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green and Saga Blade, seven months, with Machine Gun Kelly \u2014 recalled a particularly nasty exchange with a photographer following her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember the paparazzi were so ruthless back then,\u201d she said. \u201cThe way they would talk to women. And I walked out just to try to get to my car, and they’re all shooting. And one guy’s like, \u2018Megan, why are you such a b—-?\u2019 And another guy is like, \u2018Megan, do you think you’re overrated? The internet says so,\u2019 and I’m just trying to do my job.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for what was going through her head at the time? <\/p>\n

\u201cI was asked to be at this premiere. I’m trying to get to my car. And so I had all of this grief and sorrow and also anger and rage that needed a place to go,\u201d Fox admitted. \u201cAnd like I said, being able to just have the permission to be unhinged even in between takes or maybe the entire time we were there, that was very cathartic for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was that anger that the 39-year-old used to get into character as body-snatcher Jennifer Check in the 2009 film opposite Amanda Seyfried.<\/p>\n

\u201cI read this script, and I think it just resonated with me because there\u2019s something about that whether it\u2019s perceived or not,\u201d she noted. \u201cI felt like I was persecuted at that time in my career and I was struggling a lot with fame and kind of traumatized by fame.\u201d<\/p>\n

As she put it, \u201cI resonated with those deeper layers of before she becomes a monster, she\u2019s a teenage girl that gets sacrificed for somebody else\u2019s gain. And that very much resonated because that\u2019s kind of how I came into this industry.\u201d <\/p>\n

But amid looking back on that time in her life, Megan also gave the crowd an update on her private life at home with her baby girl. <\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, I just wanna say I just had a baby, and I have a lot of brain fog,\u201d she joked to the audience. \u201cSo, I haven’t slept in seven months, so if I repeat myself I\u2019m sorry, just interrupt me and tell me I\u2019m off track.\u201d <\/p>\n
