Mohegan Sun<\/a> will have some famous rockers around its holiday tree this year.<\/p>\n

The venue announced in a news release that it will host its third annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting<\/a> on Dec. 7. Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson, who are members of the band Earth, Wind & Fire, will help illuminate the tree.<\/p>\n

The tree lighting event will\u00a0feature a market, with vendors selling\u00a0holiday-themed items, a hot chocolate bar and a Santa who guests can take pictures with. Carolers will also sing the “classic holiday tunes,” the news release added.<\/p>\n

Later in the evening, Bailey and Johnson will take to the stage of the Mohegan Sun Arena, along with the rest of Earth, Wind & Fire for a concert<\/a>. The concert is set to feature some of the band’s hit songs like “September,” “Let’s Groove” and “Shining Star,” according to the news release.<\/p>\n

The band was established in 1969 and has\u00a0six Grammy wins and 16 nominations, according to the Grammy’s website<\/a>. The band was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame<\/a> in 2000.<\/p>\n

While the tree lighting event is free, the concert is not. Tickets begin at $61.95.<\/p>\n

This is not the only holiday event that Mohegan Sun has lined up for this year. It will host its first-ever SantaCon<\/a> celebration on Dec. 12.<\/p>\n
