Jennifer Lawrence finds her old interviews to be “so embarrassing”.\n<\/p>\n
The Oscar-winning actress admits that she behaved a certain way in interviews as a “defense mechanism” and Jennifer can now understand why she was “rejected” by elements of the public.\n<\/p>\n
She told The New Yorker: “Well, it is, or it was, my genuine personality, but it was also a defense mechanism. And so it was a defense mechanism, to just be, like, \u2018I\u2019m not like that! I poop my pants every day!\u2019 \u2026 I look at those interviews, and that person is annoying.\n<\/p>\n
“I get why seeing that person everywhere would be annoying. Ariana Grande\u2019s impression of me on SNL was spot-on.”\n<\/p>\n
Jennifer, 35, thinks she was specifically rejected by members of the public because of her “personality”.\n<\/p>\n
She explained: “I felt \u2014 I didn\u2019t feel, I was, I think \u2014 rejected not for my movies, not for my politics, but for me, for my personality.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
Jennifer was mocked by Ariana during a 2016 sketch on Saturday Night Live.\n<\/p>\n
The char-topping star said during an impression of the actress: “I\u2019m just, like, a snackaholic. I mean, I love Pringles. If no one\u2019s looking, I\u2019ll eat, like, a whole can.”\n<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Jennifer previously insisted that her appearance has changed because she’s “ageing” – not because of plastic surgery.\n<\/p>\n
The movie star acknowledged that her appearance has changed over recent years, but Jennifer insists she hasn’t gone under the knife.\n<\/p>\n
She told Interview magazine: “I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I\u2019m 19 to 30 and I\u2019m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I\u2019m ageing.’ Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I\u2019m like, ‘I\u2019ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up.'”\n<\/p>\n
What’s more, Jennifer highlighted the influence of Hung Vanngo, the acclaimed make-up artist.\n<\/p>\n
She explained: “I also think it\u2019s incredible what make-up can do because I work with Hung, who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon, because everybody in the last few months since I\u2019ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
