Kelsey Grammer is now a dad of eight! <\/p>\n

The Frasier <\/em>star<\/a>, 70, announced that he and wife Kayte Walsh had welcomed their fourth child together, his eighth overall<\/a>, on Monday\u2019s episode of the Pod Meets World<\/em><\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n

While speaking about his memoir Karen: A Brother Remembers<\/em>, Grammer told podcast hosts Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong that Walsh, 46, had just given birth to their son Christopher.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was like three days ago,\u201d he said. \u201cChristopher, that\u2019s just joined the family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grammer and Walsh also share three older kids: daughter Faith, 12, and sons Gabriel, 10, and James, 8. The Cheers <\/em>alum<\/a> is also dad to daughter Spencer, 41, with ex-wife Doreen Alderman, as well as daughter Greer<\/a>, 33, with ex Barrie Buckner; and daughter Mason, 23, and son Jude, 20, with ex-wife Camille Grammer.<\/p>\n

Grammer and Walsh were revealed to be expecting their fourth child together in June, when the latter showed off her baby bump during a park outing with her husband.<\/p>\n

Grammer has spoken out about the joys of fatherhood in the past, telling\u00a0Variety<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>in 2024, \u201cMy children\u2014my young children, older children\u2014the happiest I ever am is if they\u2019re all in the same room together. My work has allowed me to be able to do that. I\u2019ve been given this great experience. It\u2019s been painful and challenging and hard and tragic\u2014all those things. But boy, it\u2019s a great life. And I want to pass that on to them.\u201d<\/p>\n

In May, Grammer told PEOPLE<\/em><\/a> that since becoming a father to his three younger children with Walsh, he feels like he\u2019s been \u201cplaying catch-up\u201d with the older ones.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two,\u201d Grammer admitted at the time. \u201cI\u2019m trying to make up for a little of it now. I\u2019m still their dad, so you can always have [a] chance to show up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI probably should have been a little more clear and maybe less tolerant with the older ones,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019m pretty tolerant with the young ones, but I\u2019m clear about how there\u2019s certain expectations and certain ways to navigate through a social situation: keep it close to the vest and play it straight, and you\u2019re going to be well-served in your life. I\u2019m a little more specific with them about doing their studies and being prepared. [I tell them], \u2018What\u2019s your job in life? Showing up.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
