The drama within the royal family continues as Prince Andrew<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s scandal keeps making headlines.<\/p>\n

British journalist Emily Maitlis<\/strong> \u2014 who famously interviewed Andrew for his 2019 sit-down on BBC\u2019s Newsnight<\/em><\/a> \u2014 discussed the fallout during the Monday, October 27, episode of \u201cThe News Agents\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maitlis claimed that the U.K. media was informed last week that King Charles III<\/strong><\/a> was allegedly set to take a trip to the Royal Lodge following his visit to The Vatican<\/a>, but it never happened.<\/p>\n

Charles, 76, was supposed to be seen \u201creading the riot act to his brother,\u201d Maitlis claimed.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKing Charles cannot escape the continued media attention on his brother Prince Andrew\u2019s longstanding friendship with the late convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein. \u201cHow long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?\u201d an individual shouted at Charles, 76, as the royal greeted the public outside Lichfield Cathedral in Staffordshire on Monday, October 27, per footage shared [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cNobody was going to film the conversation. Clearly, nobody was going to see him sort of stepping out of the car,\u201d she alleged. \u201cBut there was going to be the moment caught on camera of King Charles\u2019 car close to heading towards Royal Lodge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Because things had apparently gotten \u201cout of control\u201d with the media coverage, Buckingham Palace allegedly got \u201cvery nervous\u201d and \u201ccanceled the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maitlis also alleged that Prince William<\/strong> stepped in when it came to removing the former Duke of York, 65, from his home at Royal Lodge. She claimed that hours prior to the planned meeting of Charles and Andrew, the Prince of Wales, 43, crossed paths with Princess Beatrice<\/strong> and Princess Eugenie<\/strong> and offered them an alleged ultimatum.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018You guys have got to get your dad to move out of Royal Lodge, otherwise we will start reexamining the state of your own titles,\u2019\u201d Maitlis claimed William told his cousins, further alleging that he put \u201cpressure\u201d on both Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, to assist with Andrew\u2019s exit.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, you can see why Andrew, as a father, would want to kind of keep his daughters happy and keep their titles in place, come what may,\u201d Maitlis continued.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to the royal family for comment.<\/p>\n

Questions about Andrew\u2019s living arrangement have continued to rise after he announced plans earlier this month to give up his royal titles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,\u201d Andrew said in a statement to Us Weekly on October 17. \u201cI have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.\u201d<\/p>\n
