At snail’s pace, June proves that the best things in life\u2014and costumes\u2014are worth the wait<\/h4>\n

PARK CITY, Utah \u2014 TownLift may not have a costume contest this year, but we definitely know someone who places at the top of our list\u2014and she\u2019s not in any hurry about it.<\/p>\n

Ten-year-old June has become Park City\u2019s most unlikely viral sensation, and she didn\u2019t even have to leave her own backyard to do it. The local fourth-grader\u2019s Instagram debut in a jaw-dropping homemade snail costume has racked up more than 1.5 million views and counting, proving that sometimes slow and steady really does win the race\u2014or at least the internet.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the whimsical aesthetic of Wren Cox designs<\/a>, June\u2019s illuminated shell costume is the result of months of dedication from her mother, Tori, who began construction way back in August. The glowing, intricately spiraled shell\u2014complete with purple antenna bobbers\u2014has captivated viewers across the country who can\u2019t seem to scroll past the enchanting woodland creature.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this pace, she might be Park City\u2019s first snail-ebrity,\u201d one commenter quipped on the viral post.<\/p>\n

The family costume is equally charming, with mom Tori dressed as a mushroom and dad Ryan suited up as a garden gnome.<\/p>\n

So if you\u2019re trick-or-treating on downtown Main Street this Halloween, keep your eyes peeled for this slow-moving celebrity. Just don\u2019t ask for her autograph too quickly\u2014she\u2019s taking her time, and honestly, we\u2019re here for it.<\/p>\n
