Drew Daniel<\/a> is getting ready to release his first Soft Pink Truth<\/a> album since 2022. The new album, Can Such Delightful Times Go On Forever?<\/em><\/a>, is out January 30 via Thrill Jockey<\/a>. The record\u2019s lead single, \u201cTime Inside the Violet<\/a>,\u201d comes with a music video made by animator Matthew Murray Sullivan in collaboration with visual artist Vicki Bennett<\/a>. Daniel worked on Can Such Delightful Times Go On Forever?<\/em>\u2014the follow-up to Is It Going to Get Any Deeper Than This?<\/em><\/a>\u2014with his husband and Matmos<\/a> bandmate M.C. Schmidt<\/a>, guitarist Bill Orcutt<\/a>, and many others. On the new album, according to a press release, \u201cDaniel probes the limitations of pleasure in the midst of our dystopian contemporary landscape.\u201d<\/p>\n
