EXCLUSIVE: <\/strong>Lionsgate has dated the John Carney-directed Power Ballad <\/em>starring Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas for June 5, 2026.<\/p>\n In the movie, co-written by Carney and Peter McDonald, Rick (Rudd), a past-his-prime wedding singer,\u00a0meets fading boy-band star Danny (Jonas) during a gig. The two\u00a0bond\u00a0over music and a late-night jam session. But when Danny turns one of Rick\u2019s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he\u00a0believes\u00a0he deserves \u2013 even if it means risking everything he cares about.
