The reason for Nicole Young<\/strong>\u2018s exit<\/a> from Selling Sunset<\/em><\/a> was finally revealed when season 9 showed her bringing up Chrishell Stause<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s deceased parents and their struggles with addiction.<\/p>\n

During the new batch of episodes, streaming now, Nicole, 39, and Chrishell, 44, got into an argument<\/a> at a group dinner over the former\u2019s false claims about Emma Hernan<\/strong> having an affair with a married man. The duo went back and forth trading insults when Chrishell brought up her previous allegations about Nicole\u2019s alleged drug use.<\/p>\n

\u201cHoney, you\u2019re confusing me with your parents, OK?\u201d Nicole said before the whole table turned against her. \u201cYou seem to be obsessed with drugs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amanza Smith<\/strong> and Emma, 33, were the most vocal in opposition of Nicole and her comments, while Mary Bonnet<\/strong> tried to deescalate the situation. Amanza, 48, slammed Nicole\u2019s comments for being in bad taste, pointing out that Chrishell\u2019s parents \u201care dead.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tChrishell Stause and Nicole Young\u2018s feud made for great TV but now their issues are affecting the production of Netflix\u2019s Selling Sunset. Selling Sunset, which debuted in 2019, follows employees at high-end Los Angeles real estate brokerage the Oppenheim Group. The Netflix series boasts expensive homes, but it is the drama between the cast that [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI hope you are on drugs because this is fucking inexcusable,\u201d Amanza added.<\/p>\n

Nicole stood her ground while pointing out Chrishell\u2019s dig<\/a> about her allegedly overdosing on cocaine in the past.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s talked about [her parents] being addicts,\u201d Nicole fired back. \u201cIt is OK for me to continually be called a drug addict. You talked about your parents doing drugs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emma called Nicole \u201csick and evil\u201d before the group kicked Nicole out of the restaurant. The next episode showed Brett and Jason Oppenheim dismissing Nicole from her job due to her insensitive comments.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> previously confirmed that Selling Sunset<\/em> had to hit pause on filming<\/a> due to issues between Nicole and Chrishell.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a call with production two days ago during which they told me I have absolutely not been fired from the cast but they chose to pause my filming schedule until next week in order to protect me from situations on set that had become very contentious,\u201d Nicole told Us<\/em> in a statement in January. \u201cI\u2019m still debating whether or not I want to continue filming in this kind of environment, especially with so many infuriating double standards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicole added: \u201cSelling Sunset has been a great opportunity and a wild ride, but it is not my life or identity. I have a big, beautiful life outside of the show\u2026and thankfully in the real world, my life and personality can\u2019t be edited or misconstrued to portray me negatively to fit into a produced storyline.\u201d<\/p>\n

The series follows Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Heather Rae Young, Maya Vander, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Later in the season, Nicole spoke to Mary about her decision to move<\/a> from Los Angeles to Nashville. Nicole recently told Us<\/em> that she was curious how viewers would react to the new episodes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen the new season. We already shot the reunion. It\u2019s a lot,\u201d Nicole shared earlier this month. \u201cI think I\u2019m very curious to see viewers\u2019 reactions, because things kind of get flipped upside down, especially when you see how things kind of end up in the reunion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicole teased that viewers might<\/a> have some new favorites, adding, \u201cI think some people\u2019s favorite people might change in both directions. It\u2019s gonna be very interesting to see.\u201d<\/p>\n
