Priscilla Block<\/strong>\u2019s career is on the rise. But, it wasn\u2019t long ago that the Platinum-selling country music artist, 30, was living in Nashville with only $50 to her name, a fake ID, very few connections, and a dream that seemed far out of reach.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew coming to Nashville was gonna be hard. So it wasn\u2019t like I was in some fairytale world of being like, \u2018I\u2019m just gonna blow up overnight,\u2019\u201d the North Carolina native said, recalling her move to Music City in 2014 at age 17 while appearing on the Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley Podcast<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n However, Block still has no regrets.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew that I wanted to do this since I wrote my first song at 15\u2026.,\u201d she said. \u201cI mean, seriously, it\u2019s wild looking back. I was just this fearless, young girl. I had this dream. I knew I was meant to do it. I graduated from high school early. I came out here. I didn\u2019t know anyone when I moved to Nashville.\u201d<\/p>\n Knowing no one, Block says she \u201clived in some crazy places,\u201d and she admits she made some naive choices in her teenage years. One of those decisions included jumping online and grabbing anyone as a roommate without a vetting process in place. In doing that, she turned to Craigslist.<\/p>\n \u201cI had Craigslist roommates. My parents dropped me off at this house, and that was that,\u201d Block told host Savannah Chrisley<\/strong>. \u201cI didn\u2019t know where to go or where to start, but I was gonna figure it out.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked how her Craigslist roommate wrangling experience unfolded once she was moved in, Block admitted, \u201cWell. I did get robbed.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut hey, it\u2019s OK,\u201d the \u201cJust About Over You\u201d songstress added as she can now tell the tale that has built some character into her persona. \u201cI remember I called my parents, and it was like, it was my first weekend in Nashville. I\u2019m like, \u2018Hey. Uh, my house got broken into tonight.\u2019 My dad\u2019s like, \u2018I knew that place was a dump.\u2019 Then my mom\u2019s like, \u2018Be quiet! That\u2019s all she can afford.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut yeah, it\u2019s been a journey\u2026.I\u2019ve had a couple of Craigslist roommates\u2026.. There were some sketchy times. I\u2019ve definitely lived in some crazy places,\u201d Block added. \u201cBut, it\u2019s what makes me, me, and it makes all of this so much sweeter.\u201d<\/p>\n Sweeter, indeed, as Block is gearing up to headline her first show at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Set for March 4, 2026, the show dubbed, Priscilla Block & Friends, serves as a stop on Block\u2019s Things You Didn\u2019t See<\/em> Tour, named after her recently released 14-track sophomore album.<\/p>\n \u201cHeadlining the Ryman is one of the biggest bucket list moments of my life,\u201d Block shared in a press release. \u201cI moved to Nashville 11 years ago, chasing this dream, and to finally headline the home of country music is such an honor.
