Charlotte Chilton has claimed she\u2019s solved the \u2018mystery\u2019 around her child\u2019s paternity.<\/p>\n

Despite DNA tests suggesting otherwise, she is standing firm on the theory Conor Maynard<\/a> is the father of her daughter, Penelope, or Penny for short.<\/p>\n

Over the summer, a second paternity test<\/a> confirmed the singer to not be the baby\u2019s dad as he said he was glad to \u2018finally draw a line\u2019 under the \u2018difficult\u2019 time. There has been speculation about the paternity for the past year and a half \u2013 both before and after Chilton gave birth in October last year.<\/p>\n

Chilton and Maynard were introduced at the wrap party for The Traitors<\/em><\/a> in early 2024, when Chilton was a contestant alongside Harry Clark \u2013 the boyfriend of Maynard\u2019s younger sister, Anna.<\/p>\n

The singer had held back<\/a> from addressing speculation with the TV<\/a> star, but now, she is suggesting a rare medical condition could mean he is the dad.<\/p>\n

In August, a second test was conducted as the first test suggested an \u2018unidentified male\u2019 was present when his sample was collected.<\/p>\n

But with it being found he was not the father, Maynard issued a statement on Instagram: \u201cAs Charlotte requested, Penelope’s, Charlotte’s and my DNA were all taken at a Ministry of Justice-accredited DNA testing facility that was selected by Charlotte. The results are therefore conclusive.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis has been difficult for me and my family, and I’m so grateful for everyone’s support. I’m glad we can now finally draw a line under this. I sincerely hope these results mean we can all find a way to move on with our lives. Conor.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Chilton has consistently maintained her little \u2018miracle\u2019 could have only been conceived during her one-night stand with Maynard, as she hadn\u2019t slept with anybody else.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have researched and researched trying to find the answers because I know for a fact that the only person who can be my daughter\u2019s father is Conor Maynard,\u201d she told<\/a> The Sun in a new interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd finally, after speaking to experts I have found out that what might have happened is I could have been carrying twins but lost one very early.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen strange genetics come into play which means that twin could have taken certain DNA so her father could never show up on a paternity test. It is something called chimerism.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chilton said it \u2018made some sense\u2019 to her, as there are twins in her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why I keep thinking, was Penny a twin or something, because twins can make a difference to the paternity result and there are generations and generations of my family with twins,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

As people question her legitimacy with the scientific tests \u2018proving\u2019 Maynard not to be father she says she is \u2018saying it because I know it is true\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am speaking to experts to see what we can do now to prove that he is the father,\u201d Chilton said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPenny has a striking resemblance to someone that on paper is not her father. Even the day we slept together is the conception date.\u201d<\/p>\n
