Ebon Moss-Bachrach<\/a> and Caitriona Balfe<\/a> have joined the cast of Andrew Haigh<\/a>\u2019s \u201cA Long Winter<\/a>,\u201d which also stars Fred Hechinger<\/a>, Kit Connor<\/a> and D\u2019Pharaoh Woon-a-Tai<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Further casting includes Manuel Garcia Rulfo<\/a> (\u201cJurassic World: Rebirth<\/a>\u201d) and David Furr<\/a> (\u201cThe Gilded Age<\/a>\u201d).<\/p>\n

The film is produced by Tristan Goligher<\/a> for The Bureau<\/a>, Chad Oakes<\/a> and Mike Frislev<\/a> for Calgary-based Nomadic Pictures<\/a>, and Michael Elliott<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The film was developed by Mubi<\/a> and is co-financed by Mubi and Film4<\/a>. Farhana Bhula<\/a>, director of Film4, and Max Park<\/a>, development and production executive, are overseeing the project for Film4.<\/p>\n

Mubi retains rights in the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Benelux, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey and India. The Match Factory is handling worldwide sales.<\/p>\n

Principal photography is underway in Alberta, Canada on the film, which is based on Haigh\u2019s adaptation of Colm T\u00f3ib\u00edn<\/a>\u2019s short story of the same name.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
