Luke Bryan<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about sister Kelly Bryan<\/strong>\u2019s sudden death in 2007.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never really explained what happened to my sister,\u201d Luke, 49, said during the Tuesday, October 28, episode of celebrity.land podcast\u2019s All There Is with Anderson Cooper<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThere\u2019s some misinformation out there on the internet, and I think some people kind of wonder what happened and think that we\u2019ve tried to cover it up.\u201d<\/p>\n

The musician revealed her cause of death for the first time. \u201cBut there is a very, very small percentage of people that die for no reason in the world,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s called sudden death syndrome and that\u2019s essentially what they described my sister\u2019s death as she was in her home doing her laundry, and it was Anderson, it was like, you know, somebody just turned the switch off on her and it was just tragic beyond words.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked whether it took \u201cawhile\u201d to receive the diagnosis<\/a> for his sister, Luke replied, \u201cYeah, yeah, obviously, we wanted to know what had happened because there was so much, there was just so much unanswered questions. And we wanted to know, could there be a family history of something that her children might have or may have?\u201d<\/p>\n

While Luke noted that \u201ctypical findings of an autopsy\u201d for someone Kelly\u2019s age would be \u201can aneurysm or an embolism or a blood clot,\u201d he explained that \u201ceverything was inconclusive\u201d surrounding her death.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had a pretty severe, like, orbital bone injury,\u201d he said. \u201cSo whether she fainted or not, I think she may have went into the floor and kind of knocked herself out. My nephew was 3 at the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luke said that if \u201csomeone could have been there, maybe her chances of surviving\u201d could have \u201cbeen a lot better.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe really was everything in our lives,\u201d he continued. \u201cShe was a mother of three children and she was, I mean, the best mother you could ever dream of. And we all leaned on her for so many things and it\u2019s hard to really wrap your brain around her being gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the fact that I knew at 5:00 p.m I was going to walk in that funeral home and have to deal with this \u2014 it was just really I just wasn\u2019t doing well with it,\u201d he recalled. \u201cAnd we get in a car and it\u2019s the sensation you get in the car and that this has got to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Luke walked into the room, the singer \u2014 who described himself as a \u201cpretty spiritual guy\u201d who is \u201cpretty grounded in my belief in Christ and Christianity\u201d \u2014 said it was the \u201cfirst time\u201d in his life where he felt a \u201cspirit of another world take away my burden.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I saw her, it was like something, it was almost like a pressure valve released,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd I just feel like between \u2026 I don\u2019t, I can\u2019t explain it. It was truly like she let \u2013 she set me free in that room. My mother did not have that experience and I think I was the only one in the family that had that experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
