Buzz Aldrin<\/a> is mourning the death of his wife Anca Faur<\/a>.<\/p>\n Faur, also known as Anca Aldrin, died<\/a> Tuesday, the Aldrin and Faur families announced Wednesday. <\/p>\n She was 66. <\/p>\n Aldrin, 95, the astronaut<\/a> who grew up in Montclair and became the second man to walk on the moon<\/a> in 1969, married<\/a> Faur on his 93rd birthday in January 2023. <\/p>\n \u201cI am so fortunate to have found and married the love of my life,\u201d Aldrin said in the announcement of Faur\u2019s death. \u201cShe brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly.\u201d<\/p>\n He did not share a cause of death.<\/p>\n \u201cDr. Anca Aldrin, wife of astronaut Buzz Aldrin, peacefully passed away last night with her husband and her son, Vlad Ghenciu by her side,\u201d the two families said in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n \u201cMrs. Aldrin, an accomplished chemical engineer with a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, served as the treasurer for the California Hydrogen Business Council and as Executive Vice President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC.\u201d<\/p>\n Faur was Aldrin\u2019s fourth wife<\/a>.
