On Oct. 10, Tame Impala<\/a>\u2018s Kevin Parker and an intimately sized group of fans gathered in Mexico City\u2019s magnificent Parque Quetzalc\u00f3atl for a DJ set by Parker.<\/p>\n Produced by Cercle, the 90-minute set happened in conjunction with the Oct. 17 release of the new Tame Impala album, Deadbeat<\/em>, a collection of dance tracks inspired by Parker\u2019s time in the Australian bush doof dance scene.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n He likely thus felt fairly at home at Parque Quetzalc\u00f3atl, a private park on the outskirts of Mexico City that\u2019s been under construction for more than 20 years and is home to a bevy of fantastical landscape design. Some of the park is visible in the newly released video of the performance, which captures the site along with the 90-minute set.<\/p>\n During it, Parker plays selections by artists including The Chemical Brothers, Daphni, Dog Blood, Rosalia, Orbital, Sonique and cuts spanning the Tame Impala catalog, along with his 2024 Justice collab \u201cNeverender.\u201d The set comes towards a close with the gorgeous 1995 trance track \u201cMystery Land\u201d by tk T-Traxx, with Parker then thanking the crowd for coming before declaring that \u201cI\u2019m going to remember this forever, I think\u201d and closing the set with Tame Impala\u2019s 2025 \u201cEnd of Summer.\u201d<\/p>\n Watch the performance below.<\/p>\n This week, Deadbeat<\/em> debuts at No. 1 on Top Dance Albums<\/a>, with the album single \u201cDracula\u201d also debuting at No. 1 on Hot Dance\/Electronic Songs, with another seven tracks from the album also entering the chart this week.<\/p>\n Best of Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Sign up for Billboard’s Newsletter<\/a>.
