\nPrejudice<\/em> will be on display at Windsor Castle. While there
\nare many books in the Royal Collection, this was in the Prince\u2019s
\nprivate library and he read aloud to Queen Victoria from it in July
\n1853 when she was recovering from measles.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nalso be displayed with a first edition of Pride Prejudice<\/em>
\nthat is believed to have possibly been in the Servants\u2019 Library
\npreviously.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nKing George IV\u2019s personal copy of Emma<\/em>. The then-Prince
\nRegent was a massive fan of Austen and requested that her next
\nnovel be dedicated to him. The three volume version of
\nEmma<\/em> features gold tooling, to match his luxurious
\ntastes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\ndisplay at Windsor, including two books showing fashion prints from
\nthe period.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nvisitors from Saturday, 25 October until Sunday, 2 November in the
\nQueen\u2019s Drawing Room at Windsor Castle.\u00a0<\/p>\n
