The \u201cHellaverse\u201d series already secured renewals for seasons three and four after debuting as a theatrical sing-along earlier this year. When asked about a live-action version, Medrano said she wants it\u2014but not traditionally.<\/p>\n \u201cI think for sure that Hazbin Hotel as a series only works in animation,\u201d Medrano explained. \u201cI\u2019m not the biggest fan of taking something into live-action unless there\u2019s a reason to. What I could see and what I would love to see is a stage adaptation.\u201d She described the potential of a theatrical production as a natural fit for the show\u2019s tone, adding, \u201cI think a stage musical set in this universe or about these characters would be the coolest thing, especially since it could be its own thing.\u201d<\/p>\n Medrano further elaborated on how a live performance could translate the show\u2019s musical elements and emotional range. \u201cA play could humanize these characters in ways that make sense visually, but also just have the element of musical theater, since that\u2019s what the show is,\u201d she said. \u201cThere\u2019s a degree of separation where you allow yourself to step into a fantasy when you\u2019re watching a musical.
