Katy Perry has left fans furious after marking her birthday in a very unusual way.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The singer is currently on her Lifetimes<\/em> tour<\/a> and celebrated her birthday on October 25 while on the road.<\/p>\n

To mark her 41st birthday she stepped out in public for the first time with her new beau<\/a>, former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau<\/a> (which was on no one’s bingo card for 2025).<\/p>\n

Sporting a long red dress, Perry and Trudeau were spotted leaving a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris hand-in-hand.<\/p>\n

As well as enjoying a night on the town in Paris, Perry was gifted a large birthday cake by her tour crew.<\/p>\n

In a video shared on social media<\/a> the ‘Firework’ hitmaker is seen blowing out her birthday candles in front of everyone \u2014 but it’s what she did next that raised eyebrows.<\/p>\n

In true Steve Aoki style, Perry then picks up the cake and flings it a member of the crew, who ducks out the way just in time.<\/p>\n

Some of her dancers then take bits off the cake to try from the floor. The video seems to show Trudeau looking on as all this happened.<\/p>\n

People have since been sharing their thoughts online. Somebody penned: “Katy Perry\u2019s team surprised her with a birthday cake and she straight up threw the whole thing at someone, wasting it all\u2026 this woman is actually pathetic.”<\/p>\n

Another person fumed: “A grown 41-year-old woman not caring about the person who will clean up her mess & the person who put hard work into making that cake. She needs to touch grass.”<\/p>\n

“Like, someone took the time to make that cake with love and she just throws it on the floor,” noted another.<\/p>\n

But not everyone believes that what the singer did was so bad. Somebody said in Perry’s defense: “There are actual things you can be mad at Katy Perry about but wasting a birthday cake should not be one of them. Please get a grip.”<\/p>\n

“As a baker, if I got paid then it\u2019s theirs to do what they want with it,” said someone else of people’s sympathy for the cake maker.<\/p>\n

A third added: “I\u2019ve never seen someone get so much heat for throwing a cake at someone else. This is so weird.”<\/p>\n
