It has also<br \/>\npaid the legal costs of the Prince and Princess of Wales.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s understood that William and Kate didn\u2019t ask for<br \/>\ncompensation but insisted on the publication of the judicial<br \/>\nnotification instead.<\/p>\n<p>The images were taken as the couple holidayed in the Alps in<br \/>\nApril with George, Charlotte and Louis.<\/p>\n<p>A French court told Paris Match to publish the notification<br \/>\nafter finding that the images infringed the privacy of the<br \/>\nfamily.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Kensington Palace said \u201d<em>Their Royal<br \/>\nHighnesses, he Prince and Princess of Wales, have been successful<br \/>\nin legal proceedings brought in France against the owner of Paris<br \/>\nMatch, which published a grossly intrusive article and long-lens<br \/>\npaparazzi photographs of their private family holiday in the Alps<br \/>\nin April.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement continued \u201d<em>the ruling affirms that,<br \/>\nnotwithstanding their public duties as members of the royal family,<br \/>\ntheir royal highnesses and their children are entitled to respect<br \/>\nfor their private lives and family time, without unlawful<br \/>\ninterference and intrusion.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It concluded \u2018<em>\u2018The Prince and Princess of Wales are<br \/>\ncommitted to protecting their private family time and ensuring that<br \/>\ntheir children can grow up without undue scrutiny and interference.<br \/>\nThey will not hesitate to take such action as is necessary to<br \/>\nenforce those boundaries.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s understood that legal action began soon after the images<br \/>\nwere published in April and the case continued through the summer<br \/>\nin a number of hearings before a final order was made earlier this<br \/>\nmonth.<\/p>\n<p>The Prince and Princess of Wales have previously successfully<br \/>\nsued another French magazine, Closer, which published images of<br \/>\nKate sunbathing in 2012.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"tbmarker\"\/>  <\/div>\n<p><em> \u2018 The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> \u2018 Some details of this article were extracted from the following source royalcentral.co.uk \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Prince and Princess of Wales have won a privacy case against French magazine, Paris Match.
