The \u201cKing of the Hill\u201d revival at Hulu has been renewed for two more seasons, Variety<\/em> has learned.<\/p>\n The renewal will bring the show to its 17th season, with each new season to consist of 10 episodes. Hulu had originally picked up 20 episodes of the series back in 2023<\/a>, with the first batch of 10 episodes debuting as Season 14 earlier this year. Season 15 will debut in 2026.<\/p>\n More from Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n Season 14 debuted to strong reviews from fans and critics. The newest season of the series holds a 98% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while it also debuted at the number two spot on the Nielsen Top 10 streaming chart. Per Disney, the series has crossed 1 billion hours streamed globally across Hulu and Disney+.<\/p>\n The revival brought back most of the original cast of the series, including series co-creator Mike Judge as well as Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, the late Johnny Hardwick<\/a>, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss. With Hardwick\u2019s death, Huss has taken ove<\/a>r<\/a> voicing the character Dale Gribble<\/a>.<\/p>\n In the new episodes, Hank and Peggy Hill return to Arlen after years away in Saudi Arabia, where Hank worked for the Aramco oil company as the \u201cassistant manager in charge of Arabian propane and Arabian propane accessories.\u201d Plenty has changed, but the old Rainey Street gang is still there to offer their spin on modern America.<\/p>\n Judge and fellow co-creator Greg Daniels executive produce the new seasons along with showrunner Saladin Patterson. 3 Arts\u2019 Michael Rotenberg and Howard Klein executive produce, as does Bandera Entertainment\u2019s Dustin Davis. 20th Television Animation is the studio.<\/p>\n In an interview with Variety<\/em><\/a>, Patterson spoke about why now was the right time to bring back the Hills and their approach to the world.<\/p>\n \u201cHank always represented such a commonsense, practical approach to cultural things and societal things,\u201d he said. \u201cWhether it leaned left of middle or right of middle, it always was something that was respectful and made sense.\u201d<\/p>\n Best of Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n Sign up for Variety’s Newsletter<\/a>.
