He later retreated from the public eye after allegations of sexual misconduct that emerged around 2021. A former partner had shared on social media vulgar messages from Hammer in which he allegedly expressed cannibalistic desires. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Hammer, who has <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/film\/news\/armie-hammer-allegations-liberating-timeshares-cayman-islands-1236072167\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/film\/news\/armie-hammer-allegations-liberating-timeshares-cayman-islands-1236072167\/\">denied<\/a> allegations of cannibalism and sexual assault,  had a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/film\/news\/armie-hammer-allegations-liberating-timeshares-cayman-islands-1236072167\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/film\/news\/armie-hammer-allegations-liberating-timeshares-cayman-islands-1236072167\/\">stint<\/a> in the Cayman Islands as a timeshare salesman before pursuing a comeback with a podcast he launched last October. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve been gone for the last four years and now I\u2019m back,\u201d he said at the time. \u201cWhat are you gonna do? So it\u2019s going to be a sort of journal, or a chronicling, of putting my life back together.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Earlier this month, a producer for <i>The Armie HammerTime<\/i> <i>Podcast <\/i>announced it was going on hiatus. The episode\u2019s cover image was an empty chair.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201c<i>Hammertime<\/i> has given Armie the space to share his true self and it opened a path for him to return to what he was born to do.
