Another week, another stacked playlist of the best new releases from Australia and beyond. This week we have added another ten tracks to our Discovery Playlist, on Apple Music and Spotify, including two tracks which we premiered earlier in the week. Leading the charge is our Track of the Week, \u201cOn Your Own\u201d from Perth indie-rock quartet Daisy Park<\/strong>, a soaring slice of melodic grit that cements the band as one of WA\u2019s most exciting up-and-comers.<\/p>\n \u201cOn Your Own\u201d tells the story of trying to be there for others while navigating your own mental health struggles \u2014 a reflection on learning to prioritise yourself without being consumed by guilt. As the title track from Daisy Park\u2019s debut EP, released yesterday, it showcases impressively mature songwriting for such a young band. With its beautiful layered harmonies, gorgeous guitars and warm, fuzzy synths, the track unfolds with a quiet confidence and an immersive, atmospheric pull that lingers long after it ends. It\u2019s a stunning debut moment that suggests Daisy Park have a very bright future ahead.<\/p>\n Taiwan-born, Canberra-based artist Kim Yang (\u694a\u4e88\u83c1)<\/strong> channels joy and healing on her uplifting new single \u201cAll Good When I\u2019m With You.\u201d Blending indie-folk with cinematic soul, the track radiates warmth through ukulele strums, bold piano lines and sweeping strings, while Kim\u2019s ethereal vocals centre on connection and gratitude. Kim learnt to play the Chinese folk instrument guzheng<\/a> whilst in China, and has included it in the mix, adding cultural depth and texture, underscoring the song\u2019s message of harmony across distance and difference. It\u2019s a beautifully crafted first taste of her next body of work, due in 2026.<\/p>\n Rising alt-pop artist Fletcher Kent<\/strong> unveils his most personal release yet with \u201cBlindspot,\u201d a stirring duet featuring his fianc\u00e9e, Lil. We love a good duet at the AU, and this one is lush! Built on lush textures and sweeping emotion, the track captures the tenderness and vulnerability of love that continues to evolve, with Kent\u2019s soulful delivery intertwining beautifully with Lil\u2019s ethereal harmonies. The release arrives as Kent gears up to support Lewis Capaldi<\/strong> on his sold-out Australian arena tour this December \u2014 a milestone moment that feels perfectly timed for an artist ready to take the next big step.<\/p>\n \u201cI Remember You\u201d is the new single from Fremantle-based singer-songwriter Carus Thompson<\/b>; the first from his forthcoming ninth studio album When Everything Was New <\/i>(Out November 14th). In what has become a hallmark of the latter portion of his career, \u201cI Remember You\u201d is rich in storytelling and emotive lyricism; and is a welcome reminder of Thompson\u2019s songwriting nous. That\u2019s complemented here with some beautiful and rich instrumentation that just elevates everything. Not content with just releasing one album in November, Thompson will also be releasing the third in his Acoustic at<\/i> series, this time taking proceedings from the late Norfolk Basement to the pubs of Germany. He\u2019ll also be embarking on a double album launch tour kicking off late November.<\/p>\n \u201cInsomniacs\u2019 Ball\u201d is the title track from British singer-songwriter Jon Fazal<\/b>\u2019s new album \u2013 out today. The album is described by Fazal as a \u2018collection of nighttime vignettes inspired by those eerie waking hours between midnight and dawn\u2019<\/i>. The result is a gorgeous collection of indie folk that\u2019s full of warmth, heart and charm. The violin on \u201cInsomniacs\u2019 Ball\u201d in particular is just stunning.<\/p>\n Also added to the playlist this week is \u201cwhat if it ends?\u201d, the latest release from Melbourne singer-songwriter Sidney<\/b>. The single is the title track from Sidney\u2019s forthcoming EP of the same name \u2013 out February 2026. Upbeat but reflective, \u201cwhat if it ends?\u201d explores the daunting question at the hovering at back of every love story \u2013 if it all comes to an end, what remains? The relaxed, confessional folky vocals that open the track really juxtapose against the shimmering indie-pop of the rest of the single. An introspective bop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Finally, also added to the playlist this week is the retro-tinged \u201cHot Beverage\u201d from Norwegian singer, guitarist and songwriter Marius Lien<\/strong>. The track comes from his latest album Sunset Solace<\/em>; his second for 2025. Joining him on the playlist is French alternative\/shoegaze duo\u00a0Tendertale<\/strong>; and their vibey new track \u201cSlow Eerie\u201d, from their forthcoming EP Jawbreaker<\/em>. It\u2019s got this fantastic DIY aesthetic that manages to balance dissonance and distortion with warmth and softness. \u00a0We\u2019ve also added two premieres from earlier in the week \u2013 \u201cTuesday Fresh Cuts\u201d (Matt Corby<\/strong> remix) from Bree Tranter<\/strong> and\u00a0\u201cCasa Diablo\u201d from L.A.
