Could we see tin foil hats added to Kim Kardashian\u2019s<\/strong> merchandise line? The Keeping Up With the Kardashians<\/em> star is insisting the 1969 moon landing was faked \u2014 citing information she gleaned from TikTok as her supporting evidence.<\/p>\n Kardashian\u2019s surprisingly stubborn allegiance to conspiracy theories was highlighted in the latest episode of her family\u2019s long-running reality show. While chatting with Sarah Paulson<\/strong>, her co-star in the upcoming Hulu television series All\u2019s Fair<\/em>, Kardashian declared her belief that the moon landing was faked.<\/p>\n A clip of the conversation was shared on social media, and People<\/em><\/a> magazine covered the episode.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sending you, like, so far, a million articles, interviews, with both Buzz Aldrin<\/strong> and \u2014 the other one,\u201d Kim told Paulson in the clip, apparently referring to Aldrin\u2019s fellow Apollo astronaut, Neil Armstrong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cDo it,\u201d replied Paulson.<\/p>\n Kardashian continued, \u201cThis girl says, \u2018What was the scariest moment?\u2019 And [Aldrin] goes, \u2018There was no scary moment, \u2019cause it didn\u2019t happen. It could\u2019ve been scary, but it wasn\u2019t, \u2019cause it didn\u2019t happen.\u2019 So he\u2019s gotten old, and he, like, slurs on his thinking.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo I think it didn\u2019t happen,\u201d said Kardashian.<\/p>\n Paulson replied that she was going to \u201cgo a massive deep dive\u201d with the \u201cmillion articles\u201d Kardashian said she would send her.<\/p>\n \u201cI sent her conspiracies all the time,\u201d said Kardashian in a \u201cconfessional\u201d segment on the show.<\/p>\n A producer asked Kardashian to clarify, and she replied, \u201cI don\u2019t think we did. I think it was fake. I\u2019ve seen a few videos of Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn\u2019t happen. He says it all the time now, in interviews. Maybe we should find Buzz Aldrin.\u201d<\/p>\n According to People<\/em>, Kardashian then rattled off several conspiracy theories that have already been debunked<\/a>, about the \u201cflag blowing,\u201d the footprints from the astronauts\u2019 shoes, and the lack of stars in the photos.<\/p>\n In fact, People<\/em> apparently found Kardashian\u2019s moon landing denialism so outlandish, it published a follow-up article<\/a> a few hours later titled \u201cEverything Kim Kardashian Just Said About the Moon Landing Is Wrong,\u201d noting there\u2019s \u201ca long, long, long list of fact-checks debunking various false claims about the moon landings:<\/p>\n The flag wasn\u2019t blowing; it was held up by an angled rod \u2014 and the shoes that Aldrin and Armstrong wore on the moon were left behind, not kept in a museum back on Earth.<\/p>\n As for why the stars weren\u2019t visible, that\u2019s because of the shutter speed used by the cameras to compensate for the amount of light being reflected from the sun (a problem professional and amateur photographers still face today when shooting up at the cloudless sky).<\/p>\n There\u2019s a large body of physical evidence as well, including moon rocks, subsequent photos of the landing sites and the existence of a retroreflector that can bounce back beams from Earth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n Needless to say, Aldrin has not actually been going around in interviews saying the moon landing didn\u2019t happen, quite the opposite<\/a>. Now 95, when he was a mere 77, he famously punched a heckler<\/a> in the face after the man accused him of lying about walking on the moon.<\/p>\n A producer asked Kardashian about the expected response that people will call her crazy, and she was unfazed.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re gonna say I\u2019m crazy no matter what,\u201d she said. \u201cBut like, go to TikTok.
