Lanterns to get its release date after Supergirl movie<\/h2>\n

A new report suggests that DC\u2019s upcoming Lanterns series will now premiere after the release of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The Hollywood Reporter\u2019s Heat Vision<\/a> newsletter noted that the Peacemaker Season 2 finale would be \u201cthe last of the Gunn-verse we\u2019ll see until June\u2019s Supergirl,\u201d hinting that Lanterns has been pushed from its previously expected early 2026 window.<\/p>\n

Following the mention, The Lanterncast podcast host contacted one of THR\u2019s writers, who confirmed the change, saying, \u201cYou are quite the eagle-eyed reader. Yes, we expect Lanterns will now come out after Supergirl.\u201d DCU Brief later reposted this exchange on X, stating that the series is \u201cnot expected to release until after Supergirl (after June 2026).\u201d<\/p>\n
