9-1-1<\/em><\/a> paid tribute to a family member at the end of Thursday\u2019s (October 30) episode<\/a> with a title card that read, \u201cFor Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n As confirmed by Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a>, the dedication was in honor of Charles Minear Sr., the father of 9-1-1<\/em> cocreator, showrunner, and executive producer Tim Minear<\/a>. The show, which usually ends with a vanity plate bearing Minear\u2019s company ReamWorks logo, faded to a black card with the words \u201cFor Dad\u201d in white.<\/p>\n In addition to 9-1-1<\/em>, Minear also served as co-creator and showrunner of spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star<\/em><\/a> and is the co-creator of the latest spinoff, 9-1-1: Nashville<\/em><\/a>, which premiered on October 9, 2025.<\/p>\n Minear\u2019s father isn\u2019t the only person who was honored with an on-screen tribute on Thursday night. At the end of the fourth episode of 9-1-1: Nashville<\/em>, the show acknowledged the recent passing<\/a> of actress Isabelle Tate<\/a>, who had a small supporting role in the show\u2019s pilot episode.<\/p>\n Tate passed away on October 19 at the age of 23. A rep for the young star revealed she died from Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, \u201ca group of inherited conditions that damage the peripheral nerves,\u201d according to the Mayo Clinic<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are deeply saddened and completely heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19,\u201d the McCray Agency shared in an Instagram post at the time.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve known Izzy since she was a teenager and she recently returned to acting,\u201d the announcement continued. \u201cShe booked the first series she auditioned for, 9-1-1 Nashville<\/em>. She had a wonderful time.\u201d<\/p>\n The original 9-1-1<\/em> was co-created by Minear, Ryan Murphy, and Brad Falchuk and debuted on January 3, 2018.
