Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong><\/a> was transferred to the federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where he will serve out the remainder of his four-year prison sentence.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons confirmed on Thursday, October 30, that the disgraced mogul, 55, was transferred to FCI Fort Dix, which is located in New Hanover Township. The facility is a low-security prison for men that houses around 4,000 inmates.<\/p>\n

Diddy is set to be released<\/a> on May 8, 2028, per the Bureau of Prisons website. He could be released earlier, however, if he remains on good behavior and completes certain programs while incarcerated.<\/p>\n

Diddy has been behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, since his September 2024 arrest<\/a>. Despite pleading not guilty<\/a>, he was convicted on two charges<\/a> of transportation to engage in prostitution and acquitted on two counts of sex trafficking and one count of racketeering conspiracy in July.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tINF\/INSTAR Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs had been under investigation for at least a year after being accused of sexual assault by multiple people. The rapper and music mogul made headlines in November 2023 after his ex-girlfriend Cassie accused him of sexual abuse in a bombshell lawsuit. She accused Diddy of beating her, forcing her to take [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Three months later, Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison<\/a> on October 3, with the year he\u2019d already served counting toward his sentence. Judge Arun Subramanian<\/strong> also fined Diddy $500,000 and ordered him to complete five years of supervised release once his prison sentence is complete.<\/p>\n

At the time, the judge encouraged Diddy to \u201cmake the most\u201d of his \u201csecond chance,\u201d adding, \u201cThere\u2019s a true path to redemption here. What went wrong and what can be made right.\u201d<\/p>\n

After his sentencing, Diddy\u2019s attorneys requested that Judge Subramanian recommend he serve his remaining time at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSince the trial of Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs kicked off at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse in New York City on May 5, numerous witnesses have taken the stand to testify about their alleged interactions with the rapper. Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIn order to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts, we request that the court [strongly] recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Mr. Combs be placed at FCI Fort Dix,\u201d Diddy\u2019s lawyer Teny Geragos<\/strong> wrote in a letter to the judge.<\/p>\n

Prior to receiving his sentence, Diddy asked for leniency<\/a> in his own letter to Judge Subramanian.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst and foremost, I want to apologize and say how sincerely sorry I am for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused others by my conduct,\u201d he wrote in a note obtained by Us Weekly<\/em> on October 2.<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI take full responsibility and accountability for my past wrongs. This has been the hardest two years of my life, and I have no one to blame for my current reality and situation but myself. In my life, I have made many mistakes, but I am no longer running from them. I am so sorry for the hurt that I caused, but I understand that the mere words \u2018I\u2019m sorry\u2019 will never be good enough, as these words alone cannot erase the pain from the past.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diddy asked for \u201cmercy\u201d from the judge, claiming that he has been \u201chumbled\u201d by his time behind bars.<\/p>\n
