But the FoCo indie-punk group\u2019s seventh LP, <em>Nobody\u2019s Going To Heaven<\/em> (released on October 10 via <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/redscare.net\/\">Red Scare Industries<\/a>), marks a first.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t set out to make a protest record,\u201d guitarist-vocalist Tim Browne says. \u201cBut at some point, if you\u2019re paying attention and you\u2019re still making art, you end up making one anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not necessarily an on-the-nose protest record, but more of a mirror of what Browne, guitarist Brian Van Proyen, bassist Joe Henderer, and drummer William Orender are experiencing around them.<\/p>\n<p>The <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/0sgt9vZoeqm4jfpNZ4abGo?si=7060906c0f93466a\">title track<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/6QIB5mKQvYHdMD8tvYMu2v?si=971913c22f794b9a\">\u201cDown The Land And Far Away\u201d<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/4wle88b9bzJ58Dm7JLzzIX?si=6fdb03010a5c41a7\">\u201cThe Cost! Denver speed freaks <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flahoola.com\/music\">Flahoola<\/a> come out with all guns blazing on long-awaited debut, <em>Electric Scythe<\/em>, released independently on October 31. The power trio of bassist-vocalist John Napier, guitarist Cole Helman and drummer Jaydon Kershner play dirty biker rock and thrashed-out trad metal with such speed and ferocity that you can almost feel the sweat flying from the eleven tracks. <\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/2GT7mCw9M1b2hJJ5mrDVR0?si=287c9e6fd8294678\">\u201cItalia\u201d<\/a> is literally about being chased down by a bloodthirsty Formula 1 racer, while <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/2wOCXvo3uoZWousAt9uHmA?si=c73a4d9ad58d47fd\">\u201cTommyKnocker\u201d<\/a> is a Stephen King ode. <span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">It might have taken a decade to get a proper album\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westword.com\/music\/nightmare-fuel-buckle-up-for-flahoolas-fast-and-furious-debut-40798222\/\">together<\/a>, but Flahoola has been out playing live and ain\u2019t wasting any time getting anyone who might not be privy caught up with\u00a0<em>Electric <\/em><\/span>Scythe. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: Anti\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/7oP2BRj5cfLzGPhXpSoash?si=uYUd47bjQLy8rrn0dIqmfw&amp;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p><strong>GEN3<\/strong><br \/><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/7oP2BRj5cfLzGPhXpSoash?si=uYUd47bjQLy8rrn0dIqmfw\">Anti<\/a><br \/>Boulder\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/gen3band.com\/home\">GEN3<\/a> used an unlikely vocalist to help bring its sophomore album, <em>Anti<\/em> (released independently on October 8), with the addition of former L.A. Guns frontman Scott Foster Harris.<\/p>\n<p>Bandmate David Cremin and Jace Allen <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westword.com\/music\/gen3-recruits-former-l-a-guns-singer-for-new-record-40791745\/\">found<\/a> Harris found Harris after hosting an open audition earlier this year, while the Boulder band continued working on <em>Anti<\/em>.
