Woody Harrelson<\/a> is happy with his work on the first season of True Detective<\/a>, but he has no interest of reprising his role of Detective Marty Hart<\/a> in future installments of the HBO series.<\/p>\n

On the third hour of NBC<\/a>\u2019s Today show Friday, Dylan Dreyer<\/a> asked Harrelson if he would ever return to the show. She pointed out that his co-star Matthew McConaughey<\/a>, who played Detective Rust Cohle in the first season, recently said he was open to returning.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe actually said that he would be into it, \u2018If Woody and I think it\u2019s good enough. It wouldn\u2019t even be a choice,\u2019\u201d Dreyer said of McConaughey\u2019s recent comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cMatthew\u2019s so funny, but in fairness, never,\u201d Harrelson responded. \u201cNot a chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to explain there was a specific reason why he didn\u2019t want to reprise his role on True Detective<\/a>. \u201cBecause it turned out great.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
