FREDERICK, Md. (DC News Now<\/strong><\/a>) \u2014 A western Maryland filmmaker is releasing a new horror film just in time for Halloween.<\/p>\n

Jordan Miller produces indie movies. His latest work, The Only Ones<\/em>, was released on Friday.<\/p>\n

The films take the viewer through a weekend with a group of friends and a string of misfortunes that spiral into bloodshed.<\/p>\n

Halloween events across the DMV <\/a><\/p>\n

Miller, who has produced some award-winning pictures, said he has been fascinated by spooky motion pictures since he was a child.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s a need inside of people to do creative things,\u201d says Miller. \u201cIf I wasn\u2019t doing this professionally, I would still find a way to do it. We\u2019re always looking to get to the next level, to try to do things more challenging, to tell bigger stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Only Ones <\/em>streams on Amazon Prime starting at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Miller says it is the passion of being behind the camera that drives him, and he is always coming up with creative ideas to put on film.<\/p>\n
