Winnie Harlow<\/strong> has dressed up as Whitney Houston<\/strong> yet again to mark this year’s spooky holiday.<\/p>\n In honor of Halloween, the Canadian fashion model, 31, took to social media to showcase her latest spot-on getup as the late music icon, who died in 2012 at age 48.<\/p>\n Harlow has been praised in the past for her mirror images of Houston and was also showered with compliments in the comment section of her Instagram Reels post<\/a> on Thursday, Oct. 30, which shows her resembling the “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” during the 2001 BET Awards. During the ceremony, Houston was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.<\/p>\n “She got the movements perfectly. We love Whitney,” wrote on Instagram user, while another person commented, “Nailed every part of this!!!!”<\/p>\n Other fans of the late singer, however, expressed their disapproval of Harlow’s costume, since Houston’s behavior during her acceptance of the 2001 honor led many to conclude that it was one of her “darkest moments.”<\/p>\n “At this point, it just feels like a mockery, and that\u2019s heartbreaking,” one Instagram user commented on Harlow’s reel, while someone else wrote, “So disrespectful.”<\/p>\n The late Grammy winner was pronounced dead<\/a> on Feb. 11, 2012. She was expected to perform at Clive Davis<\/strong>‘ annual pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton, where her body was found that afternoon.<\/p>\n The New Jersey native showed an affinity for the limelight early on. With a gospel-singing mother (Cissy Houston<\/strong>) and a legendary godmother (Aretha Franklin<\/strong>), Houston’s first audience was her church. By age 11, she would be the junior gospel choir\u2019s soloist.<\/p>\n In the early ’80s, Houston enjoyed a successful teen-modeling career while simultaneously working on her recording career. She eventually caught the attention of Davis, 93. After signing with his Arista Records in 1983, her debut album was released two years later.
