One year ago, CBS\u2019s historic new soap opera Beyond the Gates<\/em> began production, and now one of its breakout stars has revealed which scene kicked off filming.<\/p>\n Arielle Prepetit<\/strong> shared behind-the-scenes stills and reflection from the first episode on Instagram, writing, \u201cOne Year Ago we started filming Beyond The Gates<\/a>! The very first scene we shot was a big argument scene between me and my on screen Dad, Timon Durrett<\/strong>. Felt like we got shot out of a cannon and what a beautiful journey it\u2019s been! Here\u2019s to 100 more years!\u201d<\/p>\n Prepetit\u2019s co-stars took to the comment section to share their support for her and the show. Durrett said, \u201cDay 1. Scene 1. Wow, how time flies. \ud83d\ude0a\ud83d\ude0a\ud83d\ude0a,\u201d Sean Freeman<\/strong>, wrote \u201c\ud83d\udc4f\ud83c\udffe\ud83d\udc4f\ud83c\udffe\ud83d\udc4f\ud83c\udffe\ud83d\udc4f\ud83c\udffe\ud83d\udc4f\ud83c\udffe\ud83d\udd25\u201d, Marquita Goings<\/strong>, \u201c\ud83d\udd25\ud83d\udd25\ud83d\udd25\u201d with David Lami Friebe<\/strong> adding, \u201cAmazing\ud83d\udd25\u201d<\/p>\n Beyond the Gates<\/em> is the first new daytime soap opera to be greenlit for production since NBC\u2019s Passions in 1999. The series marked the return for Procter and Gamble to the genre and reintroduction of the NAACP as a production partner in daytime storytelling.<\/p>\n The series is also the hour-long daytime drama centered on a primarily Black cast.
