Singer Josh Groban, wrote, “Love to you and your family Ryan,” while Saved By The Bell actor Mario Lopez commented, “God bless you and your family bro.” Radio producer and author Patty Rodriguez said, naming Ryan’s mother and sister, “Ryan all my love to you and Connie, Meredith, and your family. Ryan’s foundation, the Ryan Foundation, also wrote a tribute for Gary on Instagram. While Ryan did not disclose the cause of his father’s death, the television personality spoke about his dad’s difficult battle with prostate cancer on his radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, back in July. Ryan got emotional as he shared on-air that his father’s cancer “got worse” and spread after his father was in remission.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Back in 2021, Ryan had shared a post that said his father had been “battling cancer for several years” but had overcome the disease as “it\u2019s no longer detectable.”<\/p>\n
In the July episode of his radio show, he opened up about how it’s been hard to watch his father go through this obstacle. Ryan elaborated, “When this happens to somebody or someone really close to you that you love, this is a hard thing to see, because the treatments that are commonly recommended can be barbaric to the system. They can cause so much damage to your body in other ways.”<\/p>\n
Ryan further shared that his father had gotten pneumonia while he was undergoing chemotherapy, which kept Gary in the ICU for weeks. He also revealed that his mother was in remission from cancer.<\/p>\n
In July as well, Ryan wished his father a happy 81st birthday with a sweet Instagram post, which he captioned, “Happy birthday, Dad. Glad you\u2019re enjoying a fried egg sandwich with mustard again this year for your bday breakfast! Here\u2019s to many more. Love you.”<\/p>\n
Gary is survived by his wife, Connie Seacrest, children Ryan and Meredith, and granddaughter Flora<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
