Daytime Emmy winner Roger Howarth<\/strong> made his highly anticipated debut on The Young and the Restless<\/em> this week, revealing that his new character is actually the return of iconic villain Matt Clark. In a new video shared by the official The Young and the Restless <\/em>social media account, Howarth opened up about his motivation and appreciation for soap fans.<\/p>\n In the video, shared on the official The Young and the Restless <\/em>Instagram account, Howarth reflected on his appreciation for soap audiences. \u201cThe fans of daytime television are the best fans that has ever walked the earth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He went on to describe soap fans as \u201csupportive, smart, and excited,\u201d Howarth said their enthusiasm is what motivates the cast and crew each day \u201cWe all of us here have a little parking spaces and we do what we do so that they can enjoy it. All of them. I think that\u2019s the most important thing about what we all do.\u201d<\/p>\n Reflecting on his decades in daytime television, Howarth expressed his gratitude for his long career, \u201cI got a chance to do it my whole adult life.
