Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau<\/strong><\/a> appears to have an entirely new reason to get into the Halloween spirit: Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a>!<\/p>\n

We built the costume together \u2014 a little father-son Halloween teamwork. \ud83c\udf83\ud83e\udd88\ud83c\udfc4\u200d\u2642\ufe0f,\u201d Trudeau, 53, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, October 31, sharing a photo of his youngest son Hadrian Trudeau dressed as a bloody surfer, while the politician appears to dress up as the infamous Super Bowl 49 left shark.<\/p>\n

Trudeau\u2019s shark was nearly identical to the costume worn in the 2015 viral moment, when the so-called \u201cLeft Shark\u201d during Perry\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show went rogue with their dance moves, unceremoniously stealing the show and becoming an instant cultural icon.<\/p>\n

The former prime minister and the pop star first sparked dating rumors in July, when they were spotted taking a walk together in Montreal\u2019s Mount Royal Park before later sitting down to have a private meal together at the Le Violon restaurant.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKaty Perry dropped a subtle hint that she can take a joke about her budding romance with Justin Trudeau. The pop star, 40, recently left a \u201clike\u201d on an Instagram post from parody newspaper The Onion, which shared a story on Monday, October 20, referencing Perry\u2019s relationship with the former Canadian prime minister, 53. \u201cKaty [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> later confirmed their relationship on October 24, though insiders told Us<\/em><\/a> the singer and her new beau are taking things slow.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve decided to be much more private about it. \u2026 They are still speaking and are very interested in each other,\u201d one source said at the time, while another added that their relationship \u201cisn\u2019t serious\u201d since Perry was \u201cextremely busy\u201d on tour.<\/p>\n

They also said, \u201cJustin has made plans to see her when she has downtime in a few weeks when she gets back from her tour in Brazil. Katy is taking it day by day but is very open to dating.\u201d<\/p>\n

On October 25, another source gave Us<\/em> more insight into the pair\u2019s budding romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cKaty is really into it. She\u2019s very happy,\u201d an insider told Us<\/em><\/a>. \u201cShe\u2019s trying to keep it low-key, and they\u2019ve spent a lot of private time together. She\u2019s not looking to publicize this relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source continued, \u201cTheir friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn\u2019t met a lot of her friends yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair\u2019s relationship went public one month after Us<\/em> exclusively confirmed<\/a> that Perry and ex Orlando Bloom<\/strong> had officially called off their engagement after 10 years together.<\/p>\n

\u201cOrlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,\u201d reps for the pair confirmed in a joint statement to Us on July 3. \u201cThey will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is \u2014 and always will be \u2014 raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.\u201d<\/p>\n
