Former Bachelorette Michelle Young<\/strong><\/a> cut her honeymoon short after she started to experience unexpected medical concerns.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo many [of you] have asked about honeymoon photos. Jack [Leius]<\/strong> and I loved the time we got to spend in Venice and Positano,\u201d Young, 32, wrote via her Instagram Story on Saturday, November 1, referring to her husband and their recent getaway in Italy. \u201cSadly, we had to end our trip seven days early because my health couldn\u2019t keep up.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cFor the last eight months to a year, I\u2019ve been battling with extreme fatigue, brain fog, panic attacks, heart palpitations, hypoglycemia and POTs-like symptoms. After a number of tests came back normal, we thought it could be stress and anxiety with the wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Young, who got married in June<\/a>, ultimately found that her symptoms persisted months after the nuptials.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoctors haven\u2019t been able to find anything until recently, getting the results<\/a> of a Mycotoxin and Mold test showing I\u2019ve been SEVERELY exposed,\u201d she wrote on Saturday. \u201cMy body has been working hard to fight it all off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Young and Leius recently moved into a new house in their native Minneapolis as they also remain focused on the reality TV alum\u2019s continued recovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cThankfully, we did just move and know our new home is safe,\u201d she said. \u201cBut, clearly [I] was exposed to something (many things) in the past few years. Now, [I am] having to do an intense detox, along with many medications and IV therapy to help my body get rid of everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the schoolteacher, her detox process also includes a gluten- and dairy-free diet.<\/p>\n

Young concluded her social media message with a note to fans asking to see her honeymoon photo album.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will share the few pics we have soon but didn\u2019t get to capture as many memories as I would have liked since my health wasn\u2019t holding up,\u201d she said. \u201cI also dislike posting things like, \u2018Everything was\/has been perfect\u2019 since it sure hasn\u2019t but also never want to add any negativity on the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Young concluded, \u201cAnyways, hoping to get good health back soon and head back to Italy in the spring to \u2018redo\u2019 some of our honeymoon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMichelle Young wasn\u2019t convinced she\u2019d find a partner back home in Minnesota, but that was before a mutual friend introduced her to fianc\u00e9 Jack Leius. \u201cWe were going through devastating breakups [and] we were in the same stage of our breakups as we were going through \u2018Not ready met someone\u2019 [to] \u2018Ready to meet somebody\u2019 [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Young and Leius have been together since fall 2023, meeting through a mutual friend.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has a good friend and her friend has a little brother, who I know,\u201d Leius recalled during a January 2024 appearance<\/a> on the \u201cAlmost Famous\u201d podcast. \u201cHer friend\u2019s little brother posted Michelle in his [Instagram] Story and so I kinda just hit him up a couple times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unbeknownst to Leius, Young had also asked her friend whether she knew of any eligible singles to date, who provided his name. (Young was briefly engaged to Nayte Olukoya<\/strong> after her season 18 of The Bachelorette.<\/i>)<\/p>\n
