Three Japanese female producers who have achieved international critical and commercial success \u2014Miyagawa Eriko<\/a>, Eiko Mizuno Gray<\/a> and Murata Chieko \u2013 participated in a Tokyo International Film Festival event as part of its Women\u2019s Empowerment section. With section curator Andrijana Cvetkovikj<\/a> serving as moderator, the trio began by tracing their paths to their current profession.<\/p>\n

Co-winner of an Emmy for her work on the hit streaming series \u201cShogun<\/a>,\u201d Miyagawa said she got her start as an interpreter on the set of Quentin Tarantino<\/a>\u2019s \u201cKill Bill: Vol. 1<\/a>\u201d \u201cI couldn\u2019t believe how much work it was to create each shot and the chaos of it,\u201d she said. \u201cI fell in love with the process.\u201d<\/p>\n
