Nina Dobrev<\/strong><\/a> seemingly used her Halloween costume to poke fun at her recent broken engagement with Shaun White<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Vampire Diaries<\/em> alum, 36, unveiled snaps<\/a> of her tongue-in-cheek Halloween fit on Saturday, November 1, revealing that she dressed up as Jennifer Tilly<\/strong>\u2019s character Tiffany from the 1998 horror classic Bride of Chucky<\/em>. Dobrev went all out for her Bride of Chucky<\/em> look \u2014 including getting a fake chest tattoo of Chucky\u2019s name over a pierced heart, just like in the movie.<\/p>\n

Dobrev even carried around a miniature doll of Tiffany\u2019s main squeeze, Chucky, as she partied with friends. In one slide, the Chucky doll was shown lying helpless and alone on a table.<\/p>\n

Dobrev\u2019s costume may have been a subtle jab at her ex-fianc\u00e9 since White \u2014 like Chucky \u2014 is known for his fiery red hair.<\/p>\n

News broke in September that Dobrev and White, 39, had suddenly ended their engagement after five years together. The breakup was particularly surprising since the former couple were photographed holding hands<\/a> in public 11 days earlier and had recently posed in bed together on social media.<\/p>\n

A source close to Dobrev and White confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly<\/em> that there was \u201cno cheating at all\u201d during the relationship and that the two were seemingly on the same page about starting a family<\/a> before breaking up.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey both wanted a family,\u201d an insider told Us<\/em>. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t that one wanted it more than the other.\u201d<\/p>\n

A separate source disclosed to Us<\/em> that Dobrev \u201ccouldn\u2019t wait to be married and to start a family with Shaun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNina and Zac are not dating and have been good friends for over a decade,\u201d a source exclusively told Us<\/em>. \u201cTheir friends always joke that they should date, but that is not what is going on. They have been there for each other through many phases of life and have always had each other\u2019s backs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider explained that Dobrev had been \u201cleaning on her family and friends\u201d in the wake of her split from White.<\/p>\n

\u201c[She] has truly felt a lot of love and support,\u201d the source said. \u201cEveryone has been lifting her spirits and she has been in a better place after taking some time away following her split from Shaun.\u201d<\/p>\n
