Online<\/a><\/p>\n Pete Davidson<\/a><\/strong> can\u2019t wait to be rid of his tattoos\u2014most of them, at least.<\/p>\n While the Saturday Night Live<\/em> alum is in the midst of a yearslong process to remove his extensive body art\u2014totaling more than 200 individual designs\u2014one in particular, dedicated to his mom Amy Waters Davidson<\/strong>, isn\u2019t going anywhere.<\/p>\n \u201cI got all these tattoos, so my mom was like, \u2018How come you\u2019ve never gotten a \u201cMom\u201d tattoo?\u2019\u201d Pete, 31, told Entertainment Tonight<\/a> <\/em>in an interview published Oct. 31. \u201cNow I have a tattoo that just says \u2018MOMTATTOO.\u2019 That one has to stay.\u201d<\/p>\n The King of Staten Island<\/em> star\u2014who is expecting his first baby with pregnant girlfriend Elsie Hewitt<\/strong>\u2014noted he also plans to keep his various Sopranos<\/em>-inspired tats along with one honoring his late father Scott Davidson<\/strong>, a firefighter who died during the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.<\/p>\n \u201cI have my dad\u2019s ID [number],\u201d he shared, \u201cand that\u2019s pretty much it.\u201d<\/p>\n To see more stars and their one-of-a-kind tattoos, keep reading.<\/p>\n More from E! Online<\/strong><\/p>\n But erasing the rest of the comedian\u2019s tattoos is no joke, as he began the 10-year process back in 2020 and still has a long way to go. On top of being time-consuming, the process isn\u2019t particularly comfortable, either.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s awful,\u201d Pete confessed. \u201cI\u2019ve been filming it and showing all the younger people in my family to be like, \u2018If you don\u2019t like it, this is what you have to do.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cBut I\u2019m excited \u2018cause I\u2019m making changes,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo I\u2019m excited, but it sucks.\u201d<\/p>\n Arturo Holmes\/Peacock<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Indeed, Pete is embracing another major life change as of late, having been sober for more than a year\u2014and he credits his mom for<\/a> setting him on that path.<\/p>\n \u201cMy mom\u2019s the most supportive person in the world,\u201d he told Theo Von<\/strong> during an appearance on the This Past Weekend<\/a><\/em> podcast in September. \u201cAnd it got to a point where she called me when I was in rehab and she was like, \u2018My biggest fear is that I will turn on the news and I\u2019ll see that my son has died.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n And Pete highlighted that his mom\u2019s blunt delivery made a big impact on him.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s so supportive and wants to always have positivity around,\u201d he went on. \u201cThat killed me.
