Prince Andrew\u2019s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, is set to also move out of Royal Lodge and into her own place after the disgraced royal was stripped of his titles and ordered to leave their longtime residence earlier this week, the celebrity.land<\/a><\/i> reports.<\/p>\n \u201cShe is going to be moving out and into a separate home,\u201d an insider close to the former Duchess of York told People<\/i>.<\/p>\n \u201cContrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself,\u201d the source shared. \u201cShe will continue to forge an independent life.\u201d<\/p>\n Another insider told the outlet that Andrew\u2019s ex is \u201cgoing to move forward independently,\u201d and a palace source added that Ferguson will not be relocating to Sandringham alongside the former Duke of York.<\/p>\n The Post<\/i> has reached out to Ferguson\u2019s rep for comment.<\/p>\n Andrew, 65, and Ferguson, 66, tied the knot in 1986, although they separated just six years later.<\/p>\n The two remained close after their 1996 divorce, and Ferguson joined the former prince at Royal Lodge five years after he moved into the 30-room mansion in 2003.<\/p>\n But the pair found themselves forced to find new living arrangements on Thursday when Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles, 76, had started the process to remove all of Andrew\u2019s royal titles and ordered him to vacate Royal Lodge.<\/p>\n The decision was reportedly made due to Andrew\u2019s close association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the ongoing controversy surrounding his ties to the scandal.<\/p>\n Andrew himself announced that he would no longer use the Duke of York title shortly before the release of accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre\u2019s posthumous memoir this month.<\/p>\n Giuffre, who died by suicide in Western Australia at the age of 41 in April, had long alleged that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell trafficked her to Andrew when she was only 17.<\/p>\n \u201cHis Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew,\u201d Buckingham Palace\u2019s statement began. \u201cPrince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHis lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence,\u201d the palace continued. \u201cFormal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.\u201d<\/p>\n The palace acknowledged that Andrew denies any wrongdoing in connection with the Epstein scandal, but added that Charles and Queen Camilla \u201cwish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n Andrew is relocating to a property on the Sandringham Estate following his eviction from Royal Lodge, per Buckingham Palace.
