The music world was rocked earlier this year when Brad Arnold, the frontman for 3 Doors Down, announced that he is battling stage 4 cancer. <\/p>\n
Updates from Arnold since have been few and far between, but in the small windows into his life provided it appears he is handling the fight well. <\/p>\n
The last social media post from Arnold came nearly two months ago, and fans loved it because it was about love. <\/p>\n
The singer posted a photo of himself with his wife, Jen Arnold, on Instagram.<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHow does time go so fast,\u201d he wrote. \u201cYou\u2019ve been a part of my life forever, but you\u2019ve made the last 16 the best 16 years so far. Thank you for being my best friend baby. Here\u2019s to sooooo many more! I love you (Jen Arnold).\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLord please HEAL THIS MAN, HIS MUSIC VOICE is EVERYTHING to so many of us,\u201d one person responded. \u201cIn JESUS PRECIOUS HOLY NAME I PRAY THIS AMEN.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cJesus we ask you to heal our brother Brad,\u201d another wrote. <\/p>\n \u201cHappy Anniversary to you both & prayers for Brad for a quick healing recovery God Bless you both!!\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n There were plenty more like that, and you can see them and Arnold\u2019s post here. <\/p>\n When Arnold announced his cancer diagnosis earlier this year he shared that it had spread to his lungs, and he asked fans to pray for him.<\/p>\n He did have one long update on the social media a short time after the announcement. <\/p>\n \u201cWe were formed with the same breath indeed with the same force that formed all that we\u2019ve ever known, all that is,\u201d he wrote in a recent Instagram post.<\/b><\/a> \u201cWe were \u2026. YOU WERE formed with the same attention to detail and individuality that were given to the oceans above and the oceans below. Never EVER doubt that you have a purpose. Well, what is my purpose you ask \u2026 to worship God. Put God first instead of your feelings, even your well being, and watch god\u2019s purpose for your life spring to life. <\/p>\n \u201cAlso, a lot of folks asked how I was doing the other day,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019m doin\u2019 great fam! Almost every day, I feel a little better. Things seem to be going great. Thank you for every prayer you have all prayed. With so much faith behind me and my own faith within me, I have no doubt of the outcome of this fight. God will continue to fight this (battle) for me \u2026 and God doesn\u2019t fail. I love y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n Arnold first shared the news of his diagnosis in May.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve got some not-so-good news for you today,\u201d he said in a video shared to the band\u2019s Instagram. \u201cSo I got sick a couple of weeks ago, and then I went to the hospital and got checked out and had actually got the diagnosis that I had clear cell renal carcinoma that had metastasized into my lung. And it\u2019s Stage 4, and that\u2019s not real good.<\/p>\n \u201cBut you know what?\u201d Arnold continued. \u201cWe serve a mighty God, and he can overcome anything. So I have no fear. I really, sincerely am not scared of it at all. But it is gonna force us to cancel our tour this summer, and we\u2019re sorry for that.\u201d<\/p>\n He then asked fans to \u201clife me up in prayer every chance you get.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I think it\u2019s time for me to go listen to \u2018It\u2019s Not My time\u2019 a little bit,\u201d he said. \u201cThank you guys so much. God loves ya. We love ya. See ya.\u201d<\/p>\n Arnold, 47, and 3 Doors Down formed in 1996.
