\n\tEverybody Scream<\/em>, the new album from Florence + The Machine<\/a>, tops this week\u2019s fan-voted music poll.<\/p>\n \n\tMusic fans voted in a poll published Friday (Oct. 31)\u00a0on\u00a0Billboard<\/em><\/a>, choosing Florence Welch\u2019s latest work as their favorite new release.<\/p>\n \n\tEverybody Scream<\/em> was let loose on Halloween, in a week that also saw new releases from Tyler, The Creator, Rene\u00e9 Rapp, Brent Faiyaz and more. Florence + The Machine\u2019s sixth full-length studio album brought in 53% of the vote.<\/p>\n \n\tThe timing of the set\u2019s release is fitting: \u201cFor this album, I didn\u2019t realize how close death was,\u201d Welch recently said in a cover-story interview with L\u2019Officiel<\/a><\/em>. \u201cIt was sort of like,\u00a0Oh, death is just a doorway.<\/em>\u00a0Also, if the last album [Dance Fever<\/em>]\u00a0was a fairy tale, this one is a horror film, so it all made sense.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tExplore\t\t<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p><\/div>\n \t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/div>\n <\/p>\n \t<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n See latest videos, charts and news<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tThe frontwoman was referring to her experience suffering an ectopic pregnancy onstage \u2014 which caused her fallopian tube to rupture and required emergency surgery \u2014 in 2023. \u201cAs you can see, I have this well of grief that I\u2019m trying to find ways to navigate,\u201d she said. \u201cI was in this fog, and I had to find meaning and my own belief system.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThis is the most personal album I\u2019ve ever made, but it\u2019s also my most mythological in a sense. I wanted to create my own folk horror songs within it,\u201d she explained in the interview.<\/p>\n \n\tThe 12-song tracklist of Everybody Scream<\/em> is led by its title track followed by \u201cOne of the Greats,\u201d both of which were previewed ahead of the full collection\u2019s release.<\/p>\n\n
