Bill Mumy<\/strong> shared one of his favorite memories of working with his late Lost in Space co-star June Lockhart<\/strong>\u2014and it wasn\u2019t from an episode of the 1960s sci-fi series.<\/p>\n In a post shared to Instagram<\/a> on Nov. 1, the actor, 71, shared a still from an episode of the wild 1990s animated sitcom Ren and Stimpy. He captioned the photo of two big-headed animated characters with, \u201cStaying in Halloween mode today. Guesting on Ren & Stimpy with June Lockhart was indeed a Showbiz highlight! \u2018BLAZING ENTRAILS\u2019 is the episode title. I was Dr. Brainchild, and June was my Mom. A true \u2018HOOT\u2019 as she would say! \ud83d\udc4d\ud83c\udffc\ud83d\udc4d\ud83c\udffc\u270c\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBlazing Entrails\u201d was the third episode of the fourth season of Ren and Stimpy. It originally aired on Oct. 15, 1994, on Nickelodeon. In the episode, Ren forces pal Stimpy to go to a doctor after he displays weird symptoms. Enter the green-skinned Dr. Brainchild (voiced by Mumy) and his one-eyed mom, BrainMother (Lockhart).<\/p>\n Lockhart previously played biochemist Dr. Maureen Robinson, and Mumy played her son, Will, on Lost in Space from 1965 to 1968.<\/p>\n Mumy once shared that being reunited with Lockhart nearly 30 years after they played a mother and son on Lost in Space was a \u201chappy happy\u201d highlight of his career. In a 1994 video interview,<\/a> he said, \u201cI just did a Ren and Stimpy not too long ago with June Lockhart, and that was one of the high points of my career, being a part of that show.\u201d<\/p>\n That same year, Lockhart told The Chicago Tribune<\/a> that she was thrilled to do the voice-over role on Ren and Stimpy, because it was her favorite show at the time. In fact, she even approached the producers on her own.<\/p>\n \u201cI am such a fan, I try never to miss an episode,\u201d the actress revealed. \u201cI phoned them one day and asked if I could come by and talk to the animators. They asked me to play a part and I said, `Yes, in a New York minute.\u2019 It\u2019s as awful as all the wonderful Ren and Stimpy things can be.\u201d<\/p>\n Lockhart died on October 23 at age 100.
