Prince William<\/strong><\/a> shared his excitement over an upcoming trip to Brazil \u2014 his first-ever visit to the country.<\/p>\n

Taking to the Prince and Princess of Wales\u2019 official X<\/a> account on Sunday, November 2, William, 43, detailed this week\u2019s travel plans, which will see him promote his Earthshot Prize initiative and attend a United Nations Climate Summit while touring Brazil.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I depart for Rio de Janeiro, I am excited for my first visit and to experience Brazil\u2019s vibrant culture, its extraordinary biodiversity, and above all, the warmth of its people,\u201d he wrote via the post.<\/p>\n

Adding an idyllic overview shot of Rio de Janeiro and its coastline proximity, William also discussed his excitement over the events he will take part in. \u201cWith the world\u2019s eyes turning to Brazil this week, there is no better place to celebrate bold climate leadership. Hosting The Earthshot Prize allows us to not only recognise those driving change, but to be inspired by them,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen we work together with optimism and courage, a more sustainable future is within our reach. The couple are allegedly hoping that the former Duke of York will \u201cdisappear\u201d now that he\u2019s given up his royal title, alleges royal biographer Tina Brown. William and Kate, both 43, \u201ccan\u2019t abide\u201d Andrew, 65, and don\u2019t want [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Earthshot Prize is an environmental award launched by the Prince of Wales in 2020 that provides significant monetary grants to category winners with admirable environmental goals.<\/p>\n

The positive message comes amid a headline-grabbing week for the British royal family as William\u2019s uncle Andrew Mountbatten Windsor<\/strong> was stripped<\/a> of his \u201cstyle, titles and honors\u201d as the former Duke of York, per a Buckingham Palace announcement on Thursday, October 30.<\/p>\n

In the hours following the announcement, Us Weekly<\/em> learned that William had supported<\/a> his father, King Charles III<\/strong>, in making the decision regarding Andrew, 65, as well as his eviction from the Royal Lodge, in light of his alleged involvement in a sexual assault scandal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In another Buckingham Palace statement obtained by Us<\/em> that day, Andrew\u2019s new name was confirmed, as was the decision that \u201cformal notice\u201d was served to him to ensure he would \u201csurrender the lease and \u2026 move to alternative private accommodation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued at the time, \u201cThese censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he [Andrew] continues to deny the allegations against him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Multiple royal experts have suggested that William\u2019s support of the king, 76, is in part due to his wife, Princess Kate Middleton<\/strong>, serving as a source of ongoing issues between William and Andrew.<\/p>\n
