The Prince of Wales is in Brazil and in a new message, shared as
\nhe touched down for this year\u2019s Earthshot Prize ceremony, William
\nwrote about his excitement for his first visit to the South
\nAmerican country.<\/p>\n

Prince
\nWilliam wrote<\/a> about how he\u2019s excited to \u201cexperience
\nBrazil\u2019s vibrant culture, its extraordinary biodiversity, and above
\nall, the warmth of its people\u201d<\/em> as he arrives for the Earthshot
\nPrize, the United for Wildlife Summit, and COP30, which he is
\nattending on behalf of King Charles.<\/p>\n

The fifth annual
\nEarthshot Prize is being held in Rio de Janeiro, its first time in
\nSouth America. Prince William said that with the eyes of the world
\nturning to Brazil for COP30, \u201cthere is no better place to
\ncelebrate bold climate leadership\u201d<\/em> and encouraged people to
\nwork together \u201cwith optimism and courage\u201d<\/em> for a more
\nsustainable future.<\/h5>\n

Prince William is in Brazil through Thursday, with engagements
\ncentred on environmental solutions, introducing innovators,
\ninvestors and leaders for collaborative work, and meeting young
\nclimate leaders, according to Kensington Palace.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, Prince William will attend a
\nGeneration Earthshot event with young people learning how to be
\neffective climate leaders. He will also, naturally, attend a
\nfootball practice to learn how children are learning skills and
\nresiliency through sport.<\/p>\n

Later, the Prince of Wales will attend the United for Wildlife
\nSummit. This year\u2019s Summit has a special focus on topics related to
\nBrazil: the issue of \u201cenvironmental crime and amplifying the voices
\nof Indigenous Peoples and local communities who play a vital role
\nas Guardians of our planet,\u201d according to Kensington Palace.<\/p>\n


\nThe Earthshot Prize ceremony<\/a> will take place on November 5,
\nwith Prince William meeting with the finalists across the five
\ncategories before attending the ceremony later in the day.
\nPerformers include<\/a> Kylie Minogue, Shawn Mendes, and Anitta, the
\n\u2018Queen of Brazilian Pop.\u2019<\/p>\n

On November 6, Prince William will attend the COP30 World
\nLeaders Summit on behalf of King Charles, and will deliver a speech
\nabout urgent and inclusive climate action.<\/p>\n

Kensington Palace shared a short
\nvideo<\/a> of the culture of Brazil as the future king arrived in
\nthe country. A message from Prince William, written in English and
\nPortuguese, read that he is \u201cready for a special few days in
\nRio\u201d<\/em> before travelling to Bel\u00e9m for COP30.<\/p>\n
