In a recent interview, George Clooney<\/strong> discussed Hunter Biden\u2019s<\/strong> reaction to his op-ed<\/strong> in the New York Times last year. He also spoke about his opinions on Kamala Harris\u2019s replacement of Joe Biden<\/strong> being a mistake. Clooney\u2019s comments have drawn attention across media and political circles, adding another layer to ongoing discussions.<\/p>\n George Clooney recently shared his thoughts about Kamala Harris\u2019 defeat in the 2024 Presidential Elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI think it was a mistake, quite honestly. But we are where we are,\u201d he said during his interview on CBS\u2019 Sunday Morning<\/a>. He explained how he thinks that the mistake with Harris being the presidential candidate for the democratic party was that she had to \u201crun against her own record.\u201d Clooney then continued, \u201cIt\u2019s very hard to do if the point of running is to say, \u2018I\u2019m not that person\u2019. It\u2019s hard to do and so she was given a very tough task.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked whether, looking back on his 2024 op-ed for The New York Times, he would write it again, Clooney answered without hesitation. \u201cWe had a chance,\u201d he said. \u201cI wanted there to be, as I wrote in the op-ed, a primary,\u201d Clooney added.<\/p>\n Further, when questioned if he had seen Hunter Biden\u2019s response to the op-ed, Clooney offered a subtle smile and said, \u201cYeah, I saw it.\u201d He explained how he doesn\u2019t find it helpful to have a public spat with Hunter. \u201cI could spend a lot of time debunking many of the things he said \u2026 but the reality is, I don\u2019t think looking backwards like that is helpful to anyone. Obama didn\u2019t put me up to it, it wasn\u2019t my fundraiser, it was my fundraiser \u2014 all the things,\u201d Clooney shared.<\/p>\n The Ocean\u2019s Eleven actor continued to add how looking backwards in that way isn\u2019t helpful to anyone, not to the democratic party, and especially not to Hunter.
