A new rumor hints at what\u2019s next for Black Panther 3<\/strong>. Though Marvel has not confirmed any details, reports suggest the sequel will continue its existing storyline while expanding the world of Wakanda with familiar and possibly new faces.<\/p>\n Insider MyTimeToShineHello wrote on X (formerly Twitter), \u201cWhile they are introducing more Black Panthers she will remain the main one for years to come,\u201d referencing Wright\u2019s role as Shuri, who inherited the Black Panther mantle in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).<\/p>\n Marvel has not officially confirmed a third installment. Wright told Variety<\/a> that \u201ca third Black Panther film [is] in the works,\u201d but Marvel has not announced a production timeline.<\/p>\n Appearing on The View<\/a> in June 2024, Wright said she was \u201cgrateful\u201d to play Shuri and added, \u201cI would like to continue with Shuri. She\u2019s one of my favorite characters.\u201d When asked if Black Panther 3 was coming, Wright replied, \u201cThere\u2019s a lot coming up,\u201d smiling as she spoke. Shuri, the sister of the late T\u2019Challa, became the protector of Wakanda following Chadwick Boseman\u2019s passing in 2020.<\/p>\n At the same time, fan speculation surrounding Black Panther 3 expanded after actor Damson Idris appeared alongside Angela Bassett<\/a> at Vogue World: Hollywood. Photos showed Idris in a black suit with Bassett, who plays Queen Ramonda, sparking speculation that he could portray a new T\u2019Challa or Prince Toussaint, introduced at the end of Wakanda Forever. A viral caption reading \u201cyeah that\u2019s T\u2019Challa\u201d drew reportedly more than 1.5 million views.<\/p>\n In a prior interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, the host asked Idris if he had \u201cany conversations\u201d about becoming the next Black Panther.
